Read on to discover how others are managing their car maintenance expenses and how you can benefit from this knowledge.

Exploring the Results:
The responses we received exhibited a wide spectrum of budgeting preferences, with options ranging from £1 to £94 per month.

Let’s delve deeper into the data to uncover some key findings:

1. The most popular choice: Surprisingly, 21% of respondents selected a very low amount per month as their budget. This highlights a thrifty mindset among a significant portion of car owners, suggesting that they might prioritise minimal spending on maintenance.

2. The middle ground: Budgets in the range of £20-£30 per month garnered the most considerable support, with 27% of respondents choosing this option. This suggests that a siseable proportion of car owners are willing to allocate a moderate sum towards ensuring their vehicle’s longevity and safety.

3. The outliers: While most responses fell within the sub£30 range, it’s interesting to note that a few individuals opted for higher budgets. 11% of participants selected £50 per month, while a small percentage allocated £52 or even £58 monthly. This indicates a willingness to invest more substantially in their car maintenance, possibly prioritising peace of mind and preventative measures.

Drawing Insights and Implications:
The results from our quiz provide valuable insights into car owners’ budgeting patterns. Here are a few key takeaways to ponder:

1. Priorities matter: The choices people make when allocating their budgets for car maintenance can reveal their priorities. Some prioritise cost-effectiveness, while others may prioritise investing more to ensure their vehicle’s optimal performance.

2. The impact of vehicle age: It’s worth considering that the budgeting preferences may vary depending on the age of the vehicle. Older cars may require more frequent repairs and diagnostics, leading owners to allocate higher budgets.

3. The importance of education: Many respondents may not be aware of the potential costs associated with regular car maintenance. By taking our “Your Car Score!” quiz, individuals can gain a better understanding of their car’s specific needs and make informed decisions when budgeting.
